Dr. Rebecca Nealey DVM - Palmyra Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca Nealey has cared for pets as a general practitioner at Palmyra Animal Hospital since May 2009. A native of Penfield, Dr. Nealey began her career in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant at Penfield Veterinary Hospital when she was in high school.
 
Dr. Nealey brings over 20 years experience to Palmyra. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Biology in 1991 at Penn State University . She went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. That year, she received the coveted Petsmart "Human Animal Bond" Award for showing compassion and understanding of the special human animal bond . Following veterinary school she completed a large animal internship at the University of Illinois. Internal medicine, acupuncture, and preventive care are among her many professional interests. Dr. Nealey also incorporates a blend of traditional holistic treatments along with her conventional modern veterinary medicine . She is excited to bring natural holistic therapies that can help your pet live a long , healthy life .
 
When not at work, Dr. Nealey enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with her husband Jay and her two children. In addition to her family she shares her home, a horse farm named Turning Pointe Stables, with several cats, dogs and horses. At Turning Pointe Stables Dr. Nealey rescues Thoroughbred Horses. Several of her horses are from Fingerlakes Racetrack. Dr. Nealey looks forward to continuing to provide quality compassionate care for all her clients and patients . 
 

Mikhaila Lankford, CVT

Mikhaila was inspired to become an LVT by her best friend and childhood dog Bella! She graduated from SUNY Delhi in May of 2016 with her degree in Veterinary Science. Mikhaila has been a member of the Palmyra team since December 2016. She runs off of coffee, puppy kisses, and kitten nudges! When not at work, she can be found spending time with all her fur-babies: Tank the Pit Bull, Melvin James the rabbit, and the three black cat brigade: Chief, Bandit and Salam! She enjoys spending time outside by the pool, hiking, and snowboarding.
 

Courtney LaBarbera 

Courtney joined the Palmyra team in September of 2019. In her spare time you can find her riding and competing her horse Roo. Although her background is in equine training she has come to love working with Dr. Nealey and learning more about small animal care.

 

 

 
Ann Mullin Office Manager Ann has been at Palmyra Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years providing professional and compassionate care to all our clients . We are fortunate to have her. Ann runs a local cattle farm with her husband Stan and when she is not at the hospital you can find her at home on the farm tending to her animals there.
